Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Joins Game Pass Premium on September 25

The CoD logo is about to light up another Game Pass tier. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 joins Xbox Game Pass Premium on September 25—console, PC, and cloud—after already living on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Pure Xbox’s next-few-days Pass roundup and Xbox Wire’s September Wave 2 post both flag the move as Premium’s first bite of BO6.

That is a tier-ladder story as much as a shooter story. Premium subscribers who skipped Ultimate finally get campaign, multiplayer, and round-based Zombies without buying the disc. Ultimate owners already had it; September 25 is about widening the funnel one rung down the stack.

Mad King Redemption—the pixel-forward roguelite beat-’em-up—lands today, September 23, for Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass. Rematch, the 5v5 third-person football multiplayer, is joining Game Pass Essential in the same stretch. Earlier this week, Dune: Awakening and Well Dweller (91-class Metacritic chatter) already padded Ultimate/PC queues. Xbox is stacking midweek habit bait before the Friday CoD Premium unlock.

Looking further, Wave 2 still points at Minecraft Dungeons II on September 29 and Gears of War: E-Day as an October 6 day-one for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. BO6’s Premium date is the live-ops bridge between indie Pass surprises and the next first-party billboard.

What Premium players should do

If you are on Premium and have been watching friends on Ultimate clear the campaign, September 25 is the calendar pin. Preload where available, clear a few dozen gigs, and decide whether you want campaign first or a Zombies night. If you are already on Ultimate, treat the headline as a household tip—anyone on the cheaper Premium tier can finally drop into the same playlists without an upgrade.

Black Ops 6 does not need another hype cycle. It needs a wider Pass door. Premium gets that door on the 25th.

Tier math after Activision’s Xbox chapter

Black Ops 6 on Premium is also a quiet proof point for the post-studio-map Xbox: Activision-published live services are supposed to travel further across the Pass stack, not only sit on Ultimate as a halo perk. Pair that with today’s Mad King drop and next week’s Dungeons II day-one, and the late-September calendar reads like habit infrastructure—shooter nights for Premium, indie baits for Ultimate, first-party tentpoles for October.

Just remember the leave list still looms at month’s end for other titles. Grab what you mean to finish before September 30 rotations hit, then clear the SSD for BO6 on the 25th if Premium is your home tier.
