West Coast players don't have to wait for Thursday to play the first new 2D Castlevania in years. Belmont's Curse is dated Oct 15, but the US PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store both list it at 04:00 UTC, which is 9:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Oct 14. Prima Games, citing Konami, puts Steam at the same moment. It costs $29.99, or $39.99 for the Midnight Edition. Release times, prices and sale end dates in this Drop were checked on Oct 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. PT.
Castlevania's Switch version runs at half the frame rate
Konami's site lists 60 fps on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and 30 fps for the Switch version, which Nintendo Life flagged back in July. There's no native Switch 2 edition. Nintendo's eShop says the Switch game is supported on Switch 2 and behaves the same as on Switch, so expect the 30 fps version on either console. The eShop gives Oct 15 as the date but no hour.
If you played the free demo, keep that save. The demo's Steam page says its progress transfers to the full game. Konami's June announcement says the Midnight Edition adds alternate costumes for Rose Belmont, a digital sound and art gallery, and a relic item, and that pre-orders and early purchases of either edition get an Alucard-style costume. Konami hasn't said when the early-purchase window closes, so don't count on that costume being there next month.
Out now: Planet Zoo 2 and Arjun
Planet Zoo 2 unlocked at 7:00 a.m. PT on Tuesday, Oct 13, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. That's Frontier's single global time, and the Xbox store lists the same moment. It's $49.99, or $64.99 for the Deluxe Edition. The Bonus Content Pack that pre-orders included until launch is now a separate $2.99 purchase on Steam and Xbox, so if you just bought the game and the toucan shop is missing, that's why.
Street Fighter 6's Arjun is live after Capcom's server maintenance, which began at 7:00 p.m. PT on Monday, Oct 12, and was scheduled to run about five hours. Capcom says he's playable for anyone who owns or buys the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2. The patch that came with him also changes Luke, Kimberly, Guile, Chun-Li, Dhalsim and M. Bison. EventHubs reads those as bug fixes rather than real balance changes, though a few, like the chip damage on Luke's Rising Uppercut, work out as small buffs.
If you've never bought the base game, it's cheap this week. Street Fighter 6 is $15.99, down from $39.99, on the US Xbox store, PS Store and Steam. The Xbox deal ends first, at 2:59 a.m. PT Thursday, Oct 15, along with the rest of the Xbox Store sale XBXprices tracked. The same sale has Baldur's Gate 3 at $48.99. On PS5, the Street Fighter 6 price runs until 11:59 p.m. PT on Oct 21.
Boltgun 2 and Enshrouded fill the middle of the week
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 arrives Wednesday on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The US PS Store lists 9:00 a.m. PT, and it's $24.99, or $22.49 with the pre-order discount on PS Store, Steam and Xbox. The Switch 2 version is still coming "at a later date," Gematsu reports, with no price yet. Ratatan, the Patapon-style rhythm roguelike, is also dated Oct 14 by both the PlayStation Blog and Xbox Wire, though Push Square has the PS5 version on the 15th.
Enshrouded leaves Early Access on Thursday and comes to PS5 the same day, with PS5 Pro support, according to Keen Games. Game8 reports that the PS Store lists the PS5 version for 10:00 a.m. PT. Steam has it at $39.99. Xbox owners have longer to wait: Keen pushed that version to spring 2027.
Switch 2 owners curious about Metaphor: ReFantazio can try its Prologue demo now. Gematsu and Nintendo Life both report that demo saves carry over to the full Switch 2 release on Nov 12. Clear some space first, though, because the eShop lists the full game at an estimated 62.1 GB.
