Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has an expansion pass you can buy now, but its new stories are scheduled for 2027. Bluey's Happy Snaps, meanwhile, has reached its October 15 launch. Those are two very different reasons to open a console store, even when both arrive under an announcement that says something is available.

Today's useful distinction is between buying access and getting the part you actually want to play. Before choosing your next download, match the release calendar to your reason for buying. A roadmap can be worth following without being worth paying for immediately.

Fire Emblem's story is the later purchase decision

Nintendo's expansion announcement and its store breakdown agree on the important split: the first wave supplies prototype weapons, the second adds battle assistance and outfits later in 2026, and the third brings stories, allies and classes in 2027.

The base game is required, and the waves aren't sold individually. That makes this one purchase spread across several delivery dates. It doesn't make every part available when the payment goes through.

If the weapons are what you want for your current playthrough, today's content is a concrete reason to consider the pass. If you're interested mainly in the additional story, put the later wave on your watch list. You can decide once its date and details are clearer, rather than treating the first wave as a deadline to commit.

Bluey is ready for a different kind of evening

Bandai Namco's launch release confirms Bluey's Happy Snaps is out, while Gameloft's release announcement establishes October 15 as the launch date. Its photo-taking premise gives you a straightforward question: does exploring familiar places and collecting pictures sound like the activity you want tonight?

The official game site describes a second player joining the exploration while the main player handles the camera. The PlayStation listing corroborates that arrangement and lists one or two players. Think of it as a lead-and-buddy setup when deciding who should hold which controller, rather than assuming both participants have identical jobs.

There's another timing check for families: both pages say non-English voiceovers are coming in a free post-launch update, while localized text is available at launch. French, Spanish and Japanese are among the planned voice options. If a child relies on spoken guidance in one of those languages, readable menus aren't the same thing. Wait for confirmation that the needed voices have arrived before promising that particular experience.

The dates and features below were checked on October 15, 2026, at 8:22 a.m. PT. Nintendo uses seasonal windows for the second wave; neither cited page supplies an exact day for the later story release.
