The Blood of Dawnwalker’s next update will let you reset your character’s skills, giving you a reason to keep an unwanted build rather than immediately start another playthrough. The new item, Draught of Mind Rebirth, is part of update 1.1, which Rebel Wolves has announced for next week.
That is a planned release window, not a patch you should expect to find installed already. The studio’s October 16 announcement points to the week beginning October 19, without naming a specific day. If your current skills are the reason you stopped playing, waiting for the update’s instructions looks more useful than deleting that save.
Keep the character while you reconsider the build
In its official update announcement, Rebel Wolves describes an item that clears learned Swordmastery, Witchcraft and Vampirism abilities and lets you use the time spent learning them on a different selection. The practical appeal is the chance to reconsider how your character fights.
The announcement doesn't explain where to obtain the item, how many you can acquire or whether there are restrictions on when you can use it. Don't plan around unlimited experimentation yet. Before resetting anything, our advice is to note the abilities you actually enjoy using and the ones you regret choosing. Then check the full instructions when the patch arrives.
There is a separate change for players who want less demanding combat. As Push Square’s breakdown also confirms, the existing Story difficulty will become Forgiving, while a new Story option will add further combat assistance. The update also promises larger subtitle-font options and subtitles for all dialogue lines.
Those are different decisions to make. Changing your skills may suit you if you want another combat approach at the same challenge level. The new difficulty may be more relevant if you want to concentrate on the story. Read the descriptions after updating rather than selecting a familiar difficulty name by habit.
For now, keep your existing save and decide what you want to change. Once version 1.1 is available, check the reset item’s rules, review the renamed difficulty settings and adjust text options before resuming. An announced feature is a useful reason to revisit a game; its actual instructions should determine how you do it.
