Football season just got louder on Xbox. EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Edition early access is live today (September 18), and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can jump into a 10-hour trial through EA Play — useful if you want The Grounds and the new control tweaks before full launch week settles.
What else dropped today
Pure Xbox’s day list also flags smaller launches including Shadow Cat, Sugarbox, The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, and assorted arcade compilations — the usual midweek flood around a tentpole sports release.
Why it matters
FC remains one of Xbox’s highest-visibility annuals. Pairing Ultimate early access with a Game Pass trial is Microsoft and EA’s familiar funnel: get controllers in hands now, convert (or retain) subscribers through the season.
