EA Sports FC 27's version 1.1.0 lets you change how often press conferences and unexpected events appear within an existing Manager Career save. If you're happy with your club but want a different rhythm between matches, the useful change is that you can adjust those settings without creating another career.
EA's full update notes say the update is now live. The new controls include switching press conferences on or off and setting their frequency, alongside frequency controls for unexpected events. The existing unexpected-events toggle is also editable during a save, rather than only at its creation.
The on/off choice and the frequency choice solve different problems. If you enjoy press conferences but want fewer of them, review their frequency rather than switching them off. If you don't want them in that career at all, the toggle is the relevant option. Treat unexpected events as a separate preference instead of assuming both systems need the same treatment.
Change the routine before changing the team
The earlier Title Update v1.1 Pitch Notes confirm that these options apply both when creating a career and within existing saves. They also show the settings directly, making this more concrete than a general promise of fewer interruptions.
Before your next session, check that your installed game has received the update, then review the relevant Career settings. Note the current choices before changing them. Adjust one preference first and play enough to decide whether it suits your routine. That gives you a useful comparison without changing several aspects of the career at once.
These are Career-management controls, not a gameplay rebalance. Both sets of notes explicitly say this update contains no gameplay balance or tuning changes. There are bug fixes elsewhere in the patch, but these menu options aren't a reason to assume a particular tactical setup has become stronger.
The distinction matters if your complaint is about the time between matches rather than the matches themselves. These settings offer control over those interactions; they aren't a promise to undo an event that has already happened or resolve every Career issue. Reopen the save you care about, check its options and choose the routine you want to keep playing.
