Gears of War: E-Day players can claim RAAM as a free multiplayer character on November 7 by logging into the game. The Coalition announced the anniversary gift on November 6, alongside confirmation that Season 2: Legacy begins December 1.
For anyone returning this weekend, the immediate step is simple: open E-Day on Saturday and claim the character. The November 6 Xbox Wire announcement does not provide an unlock hour or a claim deadline, so there is no confirmed countdown to attach to the offer. It describes the gift as available to every E-Day player.
What is running now
The two-week anniversary event began this week. It includes Guardian in Versus and For the Queen in Horde Siege. The latter disables the supply cache, making the squad's starting loadouts more important.
The birthday gift and the event are separate pieces of the celebration. RAAM requires a login; the announcement does not attach a challenge requirement to that claim. Event modes and their other rewards are available through the anniversary event.
Players arranging a session should check the live playlists for the current selection. The post gives the event's length but does not state its exact closing date.
Legacy follows on December 1
Season 2 will bring returning maps, modes and multiplayer skins. Pure Xbox's report highlights Solemn Memories Dom, a skin based on the suit Dom wears in his photograph with Maria in Gears of War 2. Specific returning maps have not been named in the announcement.
The December changeover fits The Coalition's earlier season roadmap, which put Season 1: Emergence's endpoint at December 1 and identified Legacy as the anniversary-themed follow-up. That roadmap also listed Halloween, 20 Years of Gears and Thanksgibbing as two-week Season 1 events.
It had already promised a November 7 birthday gift. The November 6 announcement supplies the missing detail: that gift is RAAM.
For current players, November 7 is the useful date to put on the calendar now. December 1 is the next season's start, with the full returning-content lineup still to come. There is no need to wait for Legacy to collect the anniversary character.
