Hitman World of Assassination’s new Jacksepticeye mission is available through November 25, and PlayStation and Xbox players can try it through the Free Demo without buying the full game. The useful distinction is between that limited visit and the separate paid pack that preserves access to specific versions of the mission.

If you’re curious about the crossover, start with the free route. You don’t need to make the permanent-access decision before finding out whether this is a mission you want to revisit.

Choose your route into The Host

IO Interactive’s announcement dates the event from October 29 to November 25. Jacksepticeye plays the fictional Finn Colton, with Agent 47 entering a content creator’s complex in Hawke’s Bay. It’s a new character and storyline, rather than a claim that the real creator is the person described in the fiction.

For existing players, the Elusive Target requires access to the Hawke’s Bay location. For newcomers on PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, the publisher’s Season of The Host roadmap links the Free Demo and identifies the playable route as The Host Assignment. Those labels matter: a demo assignment and the named Elusive Target shouldn’t be treated as interchangeable menu entries.

Before downloading or buying anything, decide which situation describes you. If you already own the game, check your access to Hawke’s Bay. If you’re trying it for the first time on PlayStation or Xbox, look for the Free Demo. This guide’s free-demo recommendation is for those consoles, rather than a promise that every platform has the same entry route.

Buy permanent access only if you want it

The paid Host Pack includes permanent access to The Host Assignment and The Collab, an Arcade contract featuring The Host. That’s a different offer from the temporary opportunity to play during the event. The word “free” here doesn’t mean the whole game becomes yours, and the November 25 date shouldn’t be read as a deadline for purchasing the pack.

There’s no need to let the crossover’s name make that choice for you. Try the available assignment, then ask whether replaying this particular scenario is worth paying for. If one visit satisfies your curiosity, put the free window on your calendar and leave the DLC decision alone.
