Kirby Air Riders’ Halloween reward event has been cancelled after a problem that temporarily freezes the screen during play. If you’d set aside the weekend for Trick or Treat, take it off your checklist for now: Nintendo plans another opportunity to earn the reward, but hasn’t announced when.

That changes the order of a Nintendo Halloween session. Pokémon Pokopia’s seasonal event and the US eShop’s Screaming Deals sale still have advertised closing times. This Daily Console Drop separates the activity you can no longer plan around from the two deadlines worth checking before you put your console away.

What is ending, and what is waiting

Nintendo Life’s cancellation report and Nintendo Everything’s reproduction of Nintendo’s statement both confirm the October 30 cancellation and planned reward opportunity. Neither provides a replacement date. Don’t reserve another evening based on an assumed quick return.

The sale’s Pacific deadline comes from Nintendo’s US promotion page, corroborated by Nintendo Everything’s Halloween sale coverage. It applies to that US promotion, not a promise that every region or every discount ends at the same moment.

For Pokopia, Nintendo’s event schedule and Bulbagarden’s event report specify local time. Keep that distinction when sharing the table with friends elsewhere. An early-morning November 1 finish is also a good reason to treat your October 31 session as the practical deadline rather than plan around staying awake.

Give play time priority over shopping time

In Pokopia, pumpkin candy can be exchanged for themed furniture and decorations, including items for a Gourgeist habitat. If those are what brought you back, choose the items you actually want and work toward them. Our Pokopia event setup guide covers getting started; this is a closing reminder, not a new event announcement.

The eShop sale needs a different kind of attention. Start with something you already wanted to play, not the size of a discount. Check whether the listing is the full game, an edition you want or DLC before paying.

A cancelled event doesn’t need to become a substitute purchase. Use the time for Pokopia if its rewards interest you, make any deliberate wishlist purchase before the US sale closes, and leave Kirby’s replacement date open until Nintendo supplies one.
