Pre-orders for the DualSense wireless controller – LISA Limited Edition opened this morning at 10am local time, and Sony used the same PlayStation Blog post to change an important piece of the October merch plan. The controller is still on track for a October 30 street date at the prices announced in September, but the U.S. Direct merchandise assortment that was supposed to open alongside it is delayed, with availability details promised later. If you only remember the September reveal, that delay is the new fact that matters today.
We covered the original LISA collaboration when Sony posted it on September 21. Today’s update is narrower and more practical: which parts of that plan are live right now, which parts slipped, and how the regional price card looks if you are hunting a limited pad rather than a hoodie.
What is live today — and what slipped

| Item | Status on Oct 2 | Ship / launch target |
|---|---|---|
| DualSense – LISA Limited Edition pre-order | Live at PlayStation Direct + participating retailers | October 30, 2026 |
| U.S. Direct merchandise assortment (select apparel / accessories) | Delayed — availability details “at a later date” | Originally Oct 2 pre-order / Oct 30 launch; now TBD |
| LISA Amazon / Amazon Music merch wave | Still listed for October 23 in the original post | October 23, 2026 (unchanged in today’s update) |
| LISA EP Press Play | Still listed for October 23 | October 23, 2026 |
| Per-order limit (Direct product page) | 1 controller per order (GB listing) | While supplies last |
Sony’s wording is careful. The DualSense “will still be available for pre-order today directly from PlayStation and at participating retailers globally as planned.” The delay language is aimed specifically at the U.S. Direct merchandise collection, not at the controller and not at the Amazon-side assortment that was always scheduled for October 23. Retail coverage today already shows U.S. and U.K. Direct listings flickering between available and unavailable as allocations move, which is normal for a “highly limited quantities” pad and not evidence that the window has closed.
Regional price card

| Region | Recommended price | Pre-order window note |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $84.99 | Direct from 10am ET Oct 2; also Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop (stock varies) |
| United Kingdom | £74.99 | Direct + Smyths and other retailers; sign-in required on Direct |
| Eurozone (listed) | €84.99 | Hardware store from 10am local in FR/DE/AT/ES/PT/IT/NL/BE/LU |
| Japan | ¥12,480 (incl. tax) | Per September PlayStation.Blog pricing |
Functionally this is still a standard DualSense: haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and compatibility with PS5, PC, Mac, and mobile, per Sony’s product copy. The limited edition work is cosmetic — Chroma Pearl colorway, touch-pad artwork built around LISA’s eyes and bangs, signature stars, and “LL” lettering. There is no claim of unique haptics or a different internal board, so the buy decision is almost entirely about the design and the scarcity, not about a different feel in-game.
Owner checklist
| Goal | Do this | Skip / wait |
|---|---|---|
| Secure the controller only | Pre-order today at Direct or a trusted retailer; expect 1-per-order limits | Do not wait for the delayed U.S. Direct merch bundle if the pad is the priority |
| Want apparel / carrying-case merch from Direct | Watch the Blog for the revised Direct date | Assume today’s Direct merch slot is closed until Sony posts again |
| Want the Amazon LISA x PlayStation wave | Calendar October 23 for LISA’s Amazon store / Amazon Music app | Do not confuse that wave with the delayed Direct assortment |
| Already own enough DualSense colors | Treat this as a collector SKU at DualSense street pricing | No performance upside claimed over a standard pad |
For anyone who saved the September post and planned to grab a hoodie and a controller in one Direct checkout this morning, today’s Blog note is the correction. The pad is the live SKU. The U.S. Direct merch wave is not. October 23 still looks like the next hard date on the calendar for the Amazon assortment and for Press Play, with the controller itself following on October 30 if your pre-order survives the allocation shuffle.
