Nintendo keeps sanding the edges off Switch 2’s Switch 1 library. A new September 2026 backward-compatibility batch restores roughly 22 titles that were still stumbling on the hybrid, according to Nintendo Everything’s rundown of the latest fix list.
Headline repairs include Attack on Titan 2, Go Vacation, Ninja Five-O, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3 V Generation, and Terraformers—the kind of mid-catalog and niche titles that do not drive hardware headlines but do decide whether an owner trusts the “play your Switch games” promise.
Tied to the 23.0.0 window

Many of the latest fixes land in the same window as system software 23.0.0, the update that also brought docked Variable Refresh Rate support and other quality-of-life work. Nintendo has not framed every title as a one-line firmware note, but the practical advice for players is familiar: keep the console updated, then re-check problem games that previously glitched, soft-locked, or failed to boot cleanly.
The full September fix list also spans Aidan In Danger, Asatsugutori, Bar Stella Abyss, Boot Hill Heroes, D.C.4 Da Capo 4, Fig, Hayarigami: Keishicho Kaii Jiken File, Kiyo: Bunny Tyranny, Laboratory Rat Escape Simulator Pro, Monster Menu: The Scavenger’s Cookbook, Overdriven Reloaded: Special Edition, Shin Hayarigami 3, Suuran Digit, The Wild Case, Tiny Lands, What the Dub?!, and ZikSquare.
What still is not fixed

Compatibility is not “done.” Nintendo’s current unsupported-due-to-progression-issues list still includes Herdling, ILA: A Frosty Glide, Lost Twins 2, Operation: Tango, Rain World, and Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut. Separately, Colors Live may still exhibit audio problems in some areas, with Nintendo flagging a possible future BC update.
For Switch 2 owners sitting on a big Switch 1 library, the takeaway is incremental but real: another two dozen titles move from “maybe broken” to “playable again,” while a short known-bad list remains public. Check Nintendo’s official compatibility database for the latest per-title status before you assume a cart or download is safe for a long session.
