PlayStation Store’s Black Friday promotion opens November 4, but the end-of-month deadline does not apply to every offer. Sony has scheduled a refresh for November 16 and says some discounts will expire on November 20, ahead of the wider sale’s November 30 finish.
The promotion covers PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and DLC, with advertised savings of up to 75%. Sony cautions that the selection and percentage discounts vary by region. Its official announcement directs players to the dedicated Black Friday page and individual product listings for the offers available to them.
The dates to keep in mind
The sale timeline from How To Video Game corroborates these dates. For the US, Sony lists the promotion’s opening as midnight Pacific on November 4. The November 16 refresh also happens at midnight Pacific. Selected offers expire at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on November 20, while the promotion itself closes at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on November 30.
That makes the individual product page more useful than the overall sale banner when deciding how long to wait. If a game is already on your shortlist, check its own deadline rather than assuming its current offer will last all month. Sony also says new titles join on November 16, giving players a reason to revisit the selection later.
Check the edition before comparing discounts
Astro Bot appears in Sony’s Spanish-language sale announcement and How To Video Game’s coverage. The wider promotion mixes individual games and premium editions. Those labels matter when comparing what you actually get for the price.
A bigger percentage saving is not automatically the better purchase. Start with the game and edition you want, then compare the final price and included content. If you only want the base game, make sure extras in a deluxe bundle are worth the difference to you. Check the supported console version too, especially when browsing a promotion that spans multiple PlayStation platforms.
This article is a guide to the sale’s timing, not a ranked list of bargains. We are not quoting individual prices because a regional storefront check is needed to establish the current price and expiry for each offer. Before paying, verify the edition, final total and offer deadline on your own account’s store page. Those checks are particularly useful here, where the promotion changes partway through November.
