Pokémon UNITE players have until March 22, 2027, at 5 p.m. PT to finish the download needed for its planned Library feature. When service ends, that archive will offer a way to revisit records and content, but it won't keep normal battles running. If you want a lasting record of your time with the game, the important job is to prepare before the servers close.

That makes this a different kind of return visit from the one Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is offering with its New Game+ update. Both announcements give you a reason to reopen a familiar game. The useful question is what you'll be able to do with your progress afterward.

Put UNITE's download on your calendar

The Pokémon Company's end-of-service announcement covers both Switch and mobile. The shutdown is scheduled for March 23, 2027, at midnight UTC, which falls on the previous afternoon in Pacific time. You won't be able to log in for battles after that point.

The separate Library feature explanation schedules the update for November 11 at 8 p.m. PT. It will include Practice Area access as well as records and collected content. Once it's available, the required assets will download during normal play or when you first open the feature. Don't mistake having the game installed for having completed that later download.

The official Asia Library guidance also warns that this data generally can't be moved to a different device and won't have support after shutdown. Choose the device you intend to keep using, give the download time to finish, and check the feature while help is still available. Don't leave your first attempt until the final evening.

Check what Black Flag carries into another run

Ubisoft's Black Flag Resynced patch notes schedule the update for October 27 at 7 a.m. PT. New Game+ retains Edward's equipment and the Jackdaw's upgrades, but forts need recapturing. The map's fog also resets.

That means a second voyage isn't just continuing to tidy up your current map. Before starting, decide whether you want to replay the journey or finish what you've already begun. Ubisoft's update overview calls this the final major content update, while saying quality-of-life updates will follow; it isn't announcing the game's closure.

Keep the two decisions separate: choose a replay when you want another adventure, and schedule the UNITE download if you want to preserve its available records. An announcement is your cue to check the requirements, not proof that your device is ready.
