PS Plus Extra swaps Mycopunk in as Silent Hill 2 leaves

Silent Hill 2 leaves PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on Tuesday, Oct 20 — the same day Devolver's co-op shooter Mycopunk launches into that catalog as a day-one add. You have eight days from this check to finish the remake on Extra before access revokes. Push Square's leave list, Devolver's launch notes, and PlayStation's monthly-games post were verified on Oct 12, 2026, at 3:27 p.m. PT.

Same Tuesday: one confirmed add, eight exits

Sony has not published the rest of the October Extra/Premium wave yet — Push Square and PlayStation LifeStyle both peg that reveal for Oct 14 — so Mycopunk is the only confirmed catalog arrival for Oct 20. Devolver prices the 1.0 / PS5 launch at $14.99 on PC; Extra and Premium members get it without that purchase.

Oct 20 move Title Platforms (as listed) Notes
Arrives (confirmed) Mycopunk PS5 Day-one Extra/Premium; leaves Steam Early Access the same day
Leaves Silent Hill 2 PS5 Remake; never an Essential monthly claim
Leaves Yakuza: Like a Dragon PS5, PS4 Long RPG; longer than the remaining Extra window for most players
Leaves Jurassic World Evolution 2 PS5, PS4
Leaves Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition PS5, PS4 Push Square shortens the name to Gloomhaven
Leaves Rogue Lords PS4
Leaves Lake PS5, PS4 Region-dependent on some Last Chance lists
Leaves Death Squared PS4 Region-dependent on some Last Chance lists
Leaves Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition PS4 Region-dependent on some Last Chance lists

Push Square's headline says seven removals while its body lists eight titles; independent roundups land on the same eight. Treat Lake, Death Squared, and Harvest Moon as check-your-console items, because Last Chance to Play can differ by region.

Extra does not work like Essential

October's Essential monthlies — F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 — are already live through Nov 2, and claiming them keeps those licenses while you stay subscribed. Extra and Premium catalog games are different: once Oct 20 hits, Silent Hill 2 and the others stop launching unless you buy them. Adding a title to your library before the leave date does not create a keepable Extra license.

Tier / library type After the leave / claim window What we checked on the US store
Essential monthly (Oct 6–Nov 2 set) Keep while subscribed if claimed in window Already claimable; separate from Oct 20 Extra churn
Extra / Premium catalog Access revoked on leave day Silent Hill 2 standard edition $69.99; Deluxe $79.99
Buy Mycopunk instead of waiting for Plus Own it outright Steam US list $14.99 for the Oct 20 1.0 build

If Silent Hill 2 is the priority, start now: a 15–20 hour remake fits eight days; a first Yakuza: Like a Dragon run usually does not. Recheck Last Chance to Play on your own PS5 before Oct 20, and treat the Oct 14 Extra reveal as the moment the arrival side of this table may grow beyond Mycopunk.
