F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 have a November 2 deadline for adding them to your PlayStation Plus library. You don't have to download or finish them by then. The immediate job is claiming the games you want before the monthly selection changes.
A library deadline deserves your attention, but it doesn't need to take over your evening. Claim October's selection first, look at November's incoming games next, and leave installation until you're ready to play.
Add to your library before clearing storage
PlayStation's October announcement set the claim window at October 6 through November 2. Its November announcement repeats the final date for all three outgoing games.
That makes a quick library check more useful than a hurried download. Sign into the account with your membership, open the monthly selection and check each game's status. If you're offered a purchase instead, stop and check the edition and subscription rather than assuming a payment is necessary to claim the offer.
PlayStation's download instructions show adding a game to your library before downloading it on PS4. Its games FAQ says claimed monthly games can be downloaded and played later while your membership remains active. So you can leave storage management for another day.
This isn't permanent ownership without a subscription. Sony's membership explanation describes Monthly Games as a benefit you retain while you're a member. Treat the claim as preserving a future option, not a reason to renew automatically if you aren't using the service.
November brings a separate decision
The incoming selection is Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2, available from November 3 through November 30. T3's lineup report corroborates Sony's dates and platform split: the first two include PS4 and PS5 versions, while Monster Train 2 is listed for PS5.
