Shape of Dreams Launches on PS5 Today With Cross-Play and The Starless Path Update

Shape of Dreams PS5 editorial

Shape of Dreams is live on PlayStation 5 today — and it’s not a bare-bones port. Developer Lizard Smoothie is shipping the co-op action roguelite alongside The Starless Path, billed as the game’s 1st Anniversary update and its biggest content drop yet.

Cross-play from day one

PS5 lobbies are unified with PC and other consoles at launch, so party play doesn’t stall on platform walls. After a year and more than 1.5 million Steam players, the console version inherits a year of combat tuning and systems work rather than starting from the 2025 launch build.

What’s in The Starless Path

New Traveler Cetus arrives as a ranged frost tank. The Way of Stars weaves Traveler stories toward hidden episodes, a new ending, and a tougher final boss. World bosses pick up nastier secondary patterns, and Fallen Stars / Faded Memories let you swap Identity Memory for universal options — a fresh progression path for veterans.
