Stellar Blade Switch 2 Demo Is Live—Bayonetta Couture Collab Lands With November Launch

SHIFT UP has dropped a free demo for Stellar Blade Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, giving hybrid owners a hands-on look at the stylish action RPG ahead of its console debut.

The demo is available now via the Nintendo eShop (console storefront first; web listings can lag). Coverage pegs the download around 6.1GB. Alongside the trial, SHIFT UP published a Bayonetta collaboration vignette showing four new couture outfits for EVE: Bayonetta, Jeanne, Nun, and Black Tresses.

Stellar Blade Complete Edition launches on Switch 2 on November 5, 2026 in North America (listed as November 6 in Japan and South Korea due to time zones). The Bayonetta collaboration is timed to that window and is set to arrive as a free update across Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC—so existing PS5/Steam owners are not locked out of the couture drop.

My Nintendo News and Gematsu both flagged the demo-and-trailer package on September 20, following SHIFT UP’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 stage push. Physical distribution for Switch 2 has previously been tied to PM Studios in coverage of the Complete Edition announcement.

Stellar Blade originally launched on PS5 in April 2024 and later reached PC. Putting a free Switch 2 demo in players’ hands roughly six weeks before launch is a clear conversion play for Nintendo’s hybrid audience—especially with a PlatinumGames-adjacent fashion collab attached as free garnish.

If you have been waiting to feel the combat loop on the go, the eShop trial is the shortest path. Full release: November 5 NA / November 6 JP–KR, Bayonetta outfits included free at launch across platforms.
