Witchbrook's digital release is scheduled for January 28, 2027, on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox. Its physical editions will follow later. If you've been waiting to choose a version of the witch-school life sim, that distinction matters more than adding another date to your calendar: January is the digital plan, not a promise that every boxed edition will be on a shelf.

The latest Indie World also gives Switch 2 owners something closer to play. Sword of the Sea has an October 29 release date, while RACCOIN: Chaos Max Edition has announced a free demo ahead of its November launch. This Daily Console Drop sorts those announcements into a full release, a sample and a future purchase, so you can act on the part that actually interests you.

Witchbrook's boxed release is a separate decision

Chucklefish's release announcement confirms the January date and adds PS5 to the day-one lineup. Inven Global's report corroborates both the console schedule and the plan for physical standard and collector's editions after the digital launch.

Neither source gives those physical editions an exact release date or a final platform list. Don't assume that a digital version announced for your console guarantees an equivalent boxed edition. If collecting is the priority, wait for that separate announcement before committing to a second copy.

For digital players, the useful step is simpler: note the January date and the platform you intend to use. There is no need to turn a release-date announcement into a purchase decision before you've decided whether you want the game digitally or physically.

Separate a Switch 2 release from a demo

Nintendo's Indie World recap dates Sword of the Sea for October 29. Its Switch 2 store listing confirms that date and identifies the digital edition. It's a surfing adventure built around riding a sword across sand and water. If that movement caught your eye, check its listing rather than treating the whole showcase as a future wish list.

RACCOIN is the more useful stop if you'd rather sample something before buying. Nintendo Everything's announcement coverage and Nintendo's recap both announce a demo for October 28, the day of the showcase. The RACCOIN store page lists November 10 for the full Switch 2 game.

That demo is a chance to decide whether its coin-pushing and item combinations appeal to you. Choose the demo download rather than treating the full-game listing as the only way to investigate. We haven't verified any promise that demo progress carries over, so don't make that assumption when deciding how much time to spend with it.
