Xbox Wire’s September 2026 Game Pass Wave 2 post lays out a stacked near-term calendar—and the densest stretch for subscribers sits between September 22 and October 6.
Here is the short list that matters most for the next two weeks, pulled straight from the official Wave 2 rundown:
September 22–29: the binge window
September 22 — Dune: Awakening joins Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass (Cloud, Series X|S, Handheld, PC). The same day, day-one metroidvania Well Dweller lands on Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
September 23 — Mad King Redemption, a beat-’em-up/roguelite hybrid, arrives on Ultimate, Premium, and PC Game Pass.
September 25 — Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 moves onto Game Pass Premium (also listed for Ultimate and PC Game Pass in the Wave 2 note). Same day, Rematch expands onto Essential as well as higher tiers.
September 29 — Day-one Minecraft Dungeons II hits Ultimate and PC Game Pass across Cloud, console, handheld, and PC.
October 6: Gears returns on day one
The headliner just past the September window is Gears of War: E-Day on October 6—available day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on Series X|S, Handheld, PC, and Cloud. The origin-story campaign drops players into Emergence Day with Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago fourteen years before the original Gears.
Wave 2 also flagged earlier mid-September adds (RuneScape: Dragonwilds, Ninja Gaiden 4, Kernel Hearts, and more) plus a September 30 leave list that includes Atomfall, Sifu, and Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition—so finish those before they rotate out.
If you only calendar three beats: Sep 22 (Dune + Well Dweller), Sep 29 (Minecraft Dungeons II), and Oct 6 (Gears E-Day).
