Xbox’s Halloween game trials end on two different days

Xbox’s Halloween trials have two different finishing dates. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, Darkwood, Spirittea and EVERSPACE 2 run through November 1 for Game Pass Essential, Premium and Ultimate members. Dead by Daylight gives console players until November 2, without requiring Game Pass.

That split makes the weekend easier to plan. If you’re curious about several games, start with the subscriber trials that finish sooner. If you don’t have a subscription, Dead by Daylight is the option to check before spending money just to join the promotion.

Put the earlier deadline first

Xbox Wire’s announcement and Pure Xbox’s lineup report agree on the four subscriber titles and Dead by Daylight’s longer window. These are temporary trials, not games you add to your library to keep for free.

Treat those as calendar dates, not a promise of a particular Pacific cutoff hour. We haven’t verified an exact ending time. If you want a useful session, don’t leave the download and first launch until the final evening.

Pick one question you want the trial to answer. Are you comfortable with the controls? Do you want another session when you stop? Does the game fit the time you actually have? Those answers are more useful than rushing through a checklist of all five downloads. You don’t need to finish a game to decide whether you want to return to it.

Try the game before choosing an edition

EVERSPACE 2 is a single-player space action RPG, as described by ROCKFISH Games and its official game site. If a solo game is what you’re after, it gives you a specific candidate to investigate without having to arrange a group first.

The useful test is whether you enjoy flying, fighting and choosing your next destination. Leave completion targets out of the experiment. A short session that tells you the controls aren’t for you has still done its job; a sale badge doesn’t need to overrule that answer.

To find the trials, search the game in the Xbox Store and look for its trial or included-install option. Check the account and edition before accepting a purchase prompt. Our cover uses publisher-supplied Galactic Edition artwork, but that isn’t a promise that the offer includes its expansions.

If you decide to buy, compare the actual edition and regional price in front of you rather than treating every promotional tile as the same package. Start with the game you most want to evaluate, use the earlier deadline to order your sessions, and buy only if playing gives you a reason to keep going.
