Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026: Kojima’s Physint Casts Bill Skarsgård, Plus a Stack of Trailers

Xbox Tokyo Game Show editorial

Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast was already loud — new campaign footage for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 (October 23), Persona 4 Revival character reveals, Crazy Taxi: World Tour’s Japan stop, Wo Long 2, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, and a same-day Shape of Dreams launch on Series X|S and Game Pass. Then Hideo Kojima walked on for the closer.

Physint’s lead is Bill Skarsgård

Kojima said development on OD – Knock is on schedule and that Physint — framed as the culmination of his 40-year career in action-espionage — is making steady progress with Xbox’s full support. The headline casting: Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård takes the lead, joining previously teased talent including Charlee Fraser, with costume fittings and scans already underway earlier this year.

Why it matters for Xbox

Physint moved to Xbox after its prior publishing path collapsed. Pair that with OD’s Jordan Peele collaboration and today’s TGS trailer avalanche, and Microsoft’s Japan showcase read less like filler week and more like a statement about first-party ambition heading into 2027.
