Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s Final Festival of Universes begins October 30, three days after its free tenth-anniversary update arrives on October 27. The event also offers a way to earn special items in Xenoverse 3, which is due in 2027, by linking a Bandai Namco ID.
For returning players, those are two separate reasons to open the game. The update brings anniversary content; the festival is where you work toward eligible rewards for the sequel. Bandai Namco’s announcement and Gematsu’s report confirm both dates.
What the festival offers
During the event, players can build camaraderie with Trunks, the Supreme Kai of Time or Fu to unlock illustrations. Hard-to-find items return, and the publisher says players can earn Star Coins at 25 times the usual rate. A commemorative uniform and medals are also part of the celebration.
That makes the festival worth considering if you already enjoy collecting in Xenoverse 2. If your interest is mainly the sequel, choose a reward you actually want before committing time to the event. The announcement is an invitation to return, rather than a reason to chase every collectible.
How the Xenoverse 3 connection works
The publisher’s Link Data instructions explain the extra step: use “Upload Link Data” in Xenoverse 2, follow its QR-code account-linking process, then return to the game and upload the data. Linking an account and uploading the record are separate steps.
Eligible Gold and Rainbow festival uniforms unlock corresponding costume colors in Xenoverse 3. Festival medals can qualify players for up to 21 in-game acrylic figures, depending on the medals obtained. Rewards require the full versions of both games and the relevant event achievements.
You can change platforms between games. Bandai Namco also says there is no deadline for uploading Link Data, and you can update it repeatedly. Each reward can be redeemed only once. Redemption instructions will come closer to Xenoverse 3’s launch; rewards cannot be obtained before release and may arrive later.
Our practical recommendation is to check that you can access your intended Bandai Namco ID before the festival, then upload again after earning the items you want. Keep a note of which account you used so the sequel’s eventual redemption instructions are easier to follow.
Check the free update and paid DLC separately
The announcement for the October 27 update includes login bonuses and special costumes. It also describes a Gallery of Time update tied to purchasing Future Saga Chapter 4. The American announcement retains that purchase qualification, so don’t assume every anniversary addition comes with the free download.
Start with the update, decide whether the festival’s rewards appeal to you, and check your account link before investing in a particular goal. That is a manageable return plan without treating a future cosmetic reward as a reason to buy extra content.
