Saturday, October 3, 2026 is a deadline day more than a launch day. PlayStation Plus members have until Monday to claim September’s monthly games, the PlayStation Store’s Autumn Adventures sale still has room to shop before Wednesday, Xbox Free Play Days for five Ubisoft titles wrap Sunday night, and Tuesday’s unlock wave is close enough for a weekend pre-install.
Monday is the last day to claim September’s PS Plus games
PlayStation Blog’s October monthly-games post sets Monday, October 5 as the cutoff to add Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes to your library. You only need to add each title on the PS5 or PS4 Store; a full download can wait. GameRant and Push Square match that Monday date against Sony’s own language, so treat Monday night in your region as the hard stop rather than waiting for Tuesday’s refresh.
On Tuesday, October 6 the October games go live through Monday, November 2: F1 25 (PS5), Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5), and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS5 and PS4). The same Blog post adds limited Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars for PlayStation Plus members on Sony Pictures Core from October 6 (promotion ends October 20), plus a Hunt Starter Pack that day and an Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt pack on October 7.
Autumn Adventures sale runs through October 7
Sony’s Autumn Adventures promotion, which Push Square dated from September 23 through October 7 across more than 600 PS5 titles, still has four days left. PlayStation LifeStyle’s October 2 check puts Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Complete Edition at $11.99 (70% off $39.99) for PS4 and PS5 through October 7, with the Mask of Darkness DLC, three outfits, and extras included. Extra subscribers who already have the base game are shopping Complete for that DLC pack, not a second copy of the campaign.
| Title | Sale (U.S.) | List / off |
|---|---|---|
| Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Complete | $11.99 | $39.99 / 70% |
| Starfield | $29.99 | $49.99 / 40% |
| Hades II | $20.99 | $29.99 / 30% |
| The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered | $24.99 | $34.99 |
| Baldur’s Gate 3 | $48.99 | $69.99 / 30% |
| Gears of War: Reloaded | $15.99 | $39.99 |
Gears of War: Reloaded at $15.99 is the practical PS5 option if you want Gears combat while Xbox is in E-Day early access. Cross-check Extra and Premium before buying anything already in the catalog.
Ubisoft Free Play Days end Sunday
Xbox Wire still has Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, and The Crew Motorfest free for every signed-in Xbox member through Sunday, October 4, with no Game Pass required. Yesterday’s Daily Drop logged the accompanying U.S. sale prices, including Far Cry 6 at $8.99 on Xbox Wire’s own card. Progress and Gamerscore carry over if you buy before access ends Sunday.
Tuesday unlocks and NSO missions to finish this weekend
Standard Edition Gears of War: E-Day unlocks worldwide Tuesday, October 6 at 8:00 a.m. PT on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass, matching the early-access start time Xbox Wire published for October 1. The same day brings STAR WARS: Galactic Racer ($59.99) and Square Enix’s KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I～III] at $74.99 with Xbox Play Anywhere, bundling HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. PlayStation’s October Plus games open that morning as well.
Nintendo Switch Online Missions & Rewards still run through October 6: Pilotwings on Super NES or Pilotwings 64 on N64 for 50 Platinum Points each, or Animal Crossing: New Horizons for 100 points plus bonus icon elements, per Perfectly Nintendo’s October 1 update from the NSO app. A few minutes in Classics or on your island covers it before Monday night.
